Breed Standards

There are 279 dogz breeds and 73 catz breeds!

Oriental

Slim, elegant breeds. Ears are large, heads are thin wedges, tails are long and tapering, noses are long and Romanesque. Most are from South East Asia.

Foreign

Cats not quite as extreme as the Orientals but still generally slim. Once again, large ears, wedge heads, long tails where present. Often breeds that hail from outside of Europe/America.

Semi-Foreign

Breeds that err towards slimness rather than heaviness. Heads here are rounder but not domed, muzzles are still somewhat long, as are bodies.

Semi-Cobby

Breeds that err towards heaviness rather than slimness. Heads are more rounded, ears are smaller, muzzles are shorter and broader, as are bodies.

Cobby

Breeds that are heavy but not massive. They have short legs, thick bodies but are not large cats generally. Ears are smaller, heads are round, muzzles are short, as are tails and bodies.

Substantial

Massive breeds. Often natural breeds, they are heavily-built but without the shortness and roundness of the cobby breeds and tend to have large ears, longer legs, tails and muzzles.
