Multicoloured Poodle

Utility

Coat

Solid: The fur and clipped areas detailed here are the basis for the patterns allowed - sable, brindle and tan, as well as parti-colours. Clipped areas are only listed in the first section with the colour name being used in the other sections, to facilitate coordinating clipped area colour. For example, a Black brindle with base colour could have brindled clipped areas. A Cafe au Lait with coloured tan markings could have or pale pink clipped areas.

White: with or pale pink clipped areas
The ears may be .

Shaded: Due to the nature of the greying gene and red intensity, several colors may show varying levels of shading. The shaved areas follow the same guidelines as for Solid dogs, with the coated areas modified as follows. A dog may have lighter shading only, darker shading only or both.
Lighter shading: When present, required on at minimum the toes/fingers. May also include the paws, higher and/or lower legs - shading may be uneven, with more shading present on the frontlegs than the hind legs. The light shading can also include the muzzle (may include face as well), front of chest, ears and tail.
Darker shading: May be present on one, several or all of the following: ears, topknot, top of body, tail.

The combinations are as follows:
Blue and Silver dogs:
Lighter shading: A lighter shade of the base colour, or
Darker shading: A darker shade of the base color or

Cafe au lait and Silver beige dogs:
Lighter shading: A lighter shade of the base colour, or
Darker shading: A darker shade of the base color or

Cafe au Lait and Silver Beige - with shading

Tan: Traditional pattern, points may be clear or brindled. May lack eye spots without fault.

Cafe au Lait and Silver Beige - with or light points

Brindle:

Blue - stripes on base
Silver - stripes on base
Brown - stripes on base

Silver Beige - stripes on

Masking: Sable, Tan and Brindle dogs may be masked with a Small or Standard mask. Due to having a shaved face, the mask is less pronounced and uses the clipped area colour corresponding to the overall colour of the dog.

White Markings: Sable, Tan, and Brindle may have white in any amount but non-patterned dogs must have white as Trim, Irish Spotting, Piebald or Extreme White. Ticking is allowed, but not preferred.
White markings appear as such - fur with or pale pink clipped areas. Solid color clipped areas must be a darker or same shade as the white skin color.
