Notes

During the 1860's, red setters were far rarer than the red/white ones, and the latter has long been viewed as the better hunter, while the red setter has done better in the show ring. A breed club was formed in 1866 and they were divided into two breed during the 1870's. By 1882 the power of the red setter breed club was so strong that they managed to drive through that the red and white setter would no longer be allowed to compete in shows!
The irish red setter is a popular show dog around the world, and in Britain it is not rare with 300-400 dogs entered in the larger shows. Red setters have placed BIS in Crufts several times.

The irish setter should appear elegant, agile and lively with flashy lines. The head is long and dry, clearly visible occiput , stop and eyebrows. The muzzle should be long and deep with the top parallell to the top of the skull. The ears are of medium size, set low and carried close to the head. The neck is of medium length, dry and slightly arched. The is balanced with a deep chest. The tail is of medium length, preferably carried at height of backline or slightly lower.

Notes: 6 different size variations(3 per gender that come out of the AC wearing different colored sweaters), puppies grow feathers, and must be .pet hexed when bred. This file was originally made by Andi@Cirrutopia and called CIR Irish Setter V2. Aubz was given permission to modernize it, namely legs and feet modifications, but also smaller tweaks like added a few feathers, lowered the tail angle, updated the nose style, changed the feather furfile, tweaked existing addballz, and updated the name/offset.
