Solid:
Sable: Red or Blue sable in any of the patterns.
Tan: with in the traditional pattern. The eye markings may surround the entire eyes (called spectacles), and there may be a spot on each paw (penciling).
Masking: , sable, and tan-marked dogz may be masked with (standard or extended mask). In tan-marked dogz, the mask matches the main body colour.
Urajiro: All of the above may have urajiro.
White Markings: Allowed on all of the above as trim on the chest, neck and feet.

Eyes

in dogz with black noses, in blues.
Blues may also have , but it's faulted.

Nose

in dogz with any black on them
in dogz with any blue on them
Solid cream/gold/red dogz may have any of the above colours.

Faults

Wrong eye colour. Incomplete tan markings.

Disqualifications

Liver or isabella coat. Note dark brown can also be used to represent dark red in this breed in some patterns.

Notes

The tibetan mastiff is an ancient breed of dog, sometimes thought to be the original mastiff breed. When this breed first reached Europe, it was thought to be such a wild animal it was kept in a zoo, rather than as a pet! It is a large and reserved guard dog with a majestic look and with an aura of silent pride about it.

The tibetan mastiff should appear powerful, well built, proud and friendly. The head is rather broad, heavy and powerful with marked stop and square muzzle. The eyes should be of medium size and expressive. The ears are of medium size and carried low. The neck should be powerful and muscular, well covered with thick fur. The body is somewhat rectangular with a straight back and deep chest. The legs should be well angulated. The coat is long, thick, short on the face and frontsides of legs and longer on the neck, tail and backsides of the legs.
