Fawn variety:
Solid:
Masking: Any of the above colours with masking (standard mask). A mask is optional, but a dog with one is preferred over one without. The mask may reach up and surround the eyes without fault.
White Markings: All of the above may come with or without as trim or in the irish spotting pattern. The dog must not be more than 1/3 white, but up to 1/3 is desirable.

Brindle variety:
Brindle: One of the above colours with (preferred) or striping.

Extra notes (apply to both varieties):
Selectively bred Boxers may have slightly unrealistic white markings inherited from the original breeds. If markings are hexed at all, they must follow the normal white marking rules.

PFM SB Trim
Any combination of the following: any chest patch (Mutt/Bulldog/Chihuahua), tail tip (M), blaze (M/C), snout spots (M), spotting on 1-4 feet and toes (M), small patches on ankles/wrists (M), 1-2 whole white front feet (up to but not including wrist) (C)

PFM SB Irish Spotting
Minimum: White front toes (M) or whole front feet (up to but not including wrist) (C) + any chest patch (M/B/C) + tail tip (M)
Optional Extras: Solid front and back feet and toes (up to wrist/up to and including ankle) (C), mutated white muzzle (M/B/D etc.), any of the markings listed for PFM SB trim

White feet markings may be broken by Mutt body coloured patches, though not preferred. Tail tip white may be broken by body colour (due to extra addballz) without fault. White tail tip not allowed on docked/bobbed dogz. If the white muzzle is broken and colour shows through, that colour is subject to the normal standard rules. All paintballz markings may have the texture of their original breed (white or body coloured).

Notes

The boxer originates from ancient german mastiffs used to hunt large game. 200 years ago, the boxer and the english bulldog were more or less identic, but the german dogs were not called bulldogs as they were used as cattle herders, working by nipping the heels of the animals, never for fighting.
When herding cattle in streets became illegal in Germany during the 1800's, the boxer almost disappeared, but thanks to influence from Britain, the interest for different dog breeds arose, and the so-called bullenbeisser ('bull biter') was crossed with english bulldogs. These dogs went under different names, but in the end 'boxer' won the contest. There were many discussion on how the breed should look, and the first breed standard was written in 1910. It wasn't until 1924, however, that the boxer became popular after serving as a police dog.

The boxer should have a very characteristic head. The skull is thin and square, the muzzle broad, dry with a clear underbite, turned underjaw with good width and marked stop. The eyes should have a lively and alert expression, and the ears can be cropped or natural. Natural ears should be V-shaped and carried close to the head. The neck is rounded, muscular, dry and beautifully arched. The body is square, with short back, deep hest and clearly visible tuck up. The tail is set moderately high, docked or natural. The coat is short and glossy.
