Apollo is the first cat I’ve ever owned in Petz (ever). As a dogz player, I wasn’t interested in adopting catz, even when I owned this game as a child. Apollo’s adoption was done on accident, when a friend wanted to see what a “Honey Bear” was (I think she thought it would be an actual bear). While showing my friend, I played with the cat. I’d never seen a cat bring the ball to me; he wanted to play fetch! I fell in love with this dog-like kitty and named him Apollo for his love of fetch. I have naturally raised Apollo from kitten to full-grown and I have yet to tire of his personality.

This cat is full of energy. The moment he can, he grabs a random toy and brings it to play fetch. He runs at every chance, even when his objective is inches from him. He is oblivious, often running over other petz and then unnoticing when they are angry at him (something that his queen often fights him about). He is very interested in pleasing his owner: he will immediately come when called and interact with objects I point out. He is extremely needy of attention, but rarely gets jealous or upset with other petz. He is extremely competitive, and tries to be the best at every task.

He is named after the Greek sun god because of the myth about Apollo accidentally killing his good friend while playing with a flying disk (hence the reference to Apollo's love of playing fetch). In his show name, 'soleil' means 'sun', another reference to the Greek deity.
